My objective is to contribute to a child’s overall learning and
development of
personality which result from the committed study of a string
instrument.
This means meeting the challenges involved and being mindful of
and committed to
listening,flexibility and adaptability;
precision, quality and beauty ;
expression, emotion and generosity ;
concentration, rigour and work.
These qualities are also the building blocks of a well-balanced
life.
Learning to play a string instrument is not only about pleasure,
but also about the pleasure of succeeding.
These are the values that drive me and that I have strived to
put into practice throughout my career as a violin, viola and
string ensemble teacher.
I also want to take the opportunity, as a pedagogy teacher, to
pass on to the next generation of string teachers the importance
of continuously striving to meet the challenge of stimulating
the child’s need for and their pleasure in developing,
surpassing themselves, and sharing their experience with others.
